A cinematic recursion study · 30 seconds · one room
The Room Within
A man discovers himself inside a miniature. As he hides, the camera leaves the room—and reveals that it, too, sits on a table.
The cinematic film
30 seconds · 1280×720 · native audio. Seedance 2.5 interpretation with a half-second closing correction. The wardrobe escape is simplified and exact miniature synchronization is not verified. Cost: 195 credits.
The lossless master has identical decoded first and last frames. The compact playback copy introduces a small compression difference. Both run for exactly 30 seconds.
Inside the construction
Original editable reconstruction: 156 master objects, seven collection instances, nine animated objects, and a 720-frame camera move. All scales evaluate the same performance at the same time. This reconstruction is a companion to the film; the generation used the author's original blocking.
The mathematical hinge
The miniature transform is S(p) = 0.1p + t, where t places its floor on the writing table. The ending camera is at S⁻¹(c) = 10(c − t), with the same orientation and lens. This restores the opening composition in the larger room. Frame 721 is the validation endpoint; frames 1–720 form the 30-second export.
The saved scene passed a fresh-process projection test: maximum normalized screen error 1.79 × 10⁻⁷. The rendered endpoints are close, but not pixel-identical: mean absolute RGB difference 1.96 / 255. Generated video fidelity is a separate question; exact miniature synchronization is guaranteed only in the shared Blender animation.
